Studying in Mannheim
Why Mannheim is the Perfect Place to Study
Practice-oriented study

High practical relevance provides an insight into research and development. You will gain hands-on experience through lectures accompanied by laboratory exercises from the very beginning, an integrated practical semester in the industry, as well as study projects. You will become familiar with modern equipment in our laboratories and get to know the requirements of professional practice at an early stage. Your practical knowledge will be highly valued by future employers.
Industrial internship
An industrial internship is part of the International Engineering Program (INB) during the fifth semester. This is an opportunity for students to broaden and deepen their knowledge and skills through engineering activities. They will also be able to experience working conditions and methods in real life. We recommend students to do their internship in Germany (or a German speaking country) if they want to work in Germany after their studies. We recommend German students to do their internship abroad.

Best acceptance in the industry

The course content is adapted to the needs of the industry and offers excellent career opportunities. Your Bachelor's degree, combined with your practical experience, is highly valued in the industry. Our graduates establish valuable connections with successful companies through their internships. Following graduation, they quickly find employment in the industry, thanks to the professional relevance of their studies.
Small class sizes with individual support

Small class sizes foster close collaboration between students, professors, and the department. We consider the personal atmosphere to be a significant advantage. It is always possible to contact professors with any questions. In addition to the professors, dedicated staff are also available as contact persons in the laboratories. Furthermore, learning groups are commonly formed among our students.

»We are very practically involved in future topics. Join us at Technische Hochschule Mannheim, we will show you that Engineering can be fun!«
